RIPL stands for Rebels Inspiring Positive Lifestyles and is a club located at South Kingstown High School. Previously a student branch of SKPP (South Kingstown Partnership for Prevention), we have changed our name to show what we do. We hope to inspire our peers, as well as our community, to make positive decisions in all aspects of life. We want to prevent substance abuse in our community and help students with their mental health. Students nowadays are more stressed than ever and in order to cope, many students turn to all types of drugs that can harm their body or even be fatal. We hope that through our work, we can teach our community how to live a healthy lifestyle through events, social media, and policy. Lastly, our name has a bigger meaning. We think of our club as a ripple in water that spreads because we want to make change in our community and beyond.
